Linklaters announces derivatives platform launch
Allen & Overy (A&O), Linklaters has become the second magic circle firm to release a tech service designed to aid in the upcoming repapering rush, in accordance with the new Initial Market regulations.
Linklaters announced the launch of ISDA Create – IM on 25 April at the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) in Miami. The service was developed using Linklaters’ Nakhoda AI data tool with the backing of ISDA.
ISDA Create – IM is the first magic circle-made service to compete with A&O’s recently launched Margin Xchange. A&O derivatives partner Paul Cluley and Linklaters derivatives partner Doug Donahue both made similar statements during the launches of their firm’s respective services, highlighting that though the platforms were created in response to the new IM regulations, they will have wider uses beyond that in the long run.
