Kirkland builds corporate HK practice with hire from S&C
Kirkland & Ellis has recruited Sullivan & Cromwell (S&C) associate Ram Narayan as a corporate partner in Hong Kong.
Narayan is building experience in a range of corporate matters: finance, M&A, private equity, and more. His heaviest level of expertise is in cross-border M&A transaction in Southeast Asia, as well as India and China.
He also has experience working in other regions, however. Having spent eight years at S&C, he has been stationed in offices not only in Hong Kong, but also in New York and Melbourne.
Kirkland has been a hub of lateral hire activity this year so far, with the hire of securities partner Meng Ding from Davis Polk & Wardwell in January, and the losses of capital markets partner Benjamin Su to Latham & Watkins in February and corporate partner Henry Cheng to DLA Piper in April.
