Slaughter makes rare HK lateral hire for investigations partner
Slaughter and May has recruited the city of Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission’s director of enforcement Wynne Mok. Mok will join the firm’s Hong Kong office as an investigations partner.
Mok left Norton Rose Fulbright to join the Hong Kong regulator in 2016. Earlier in her career she held positions at Clyde & Co. legacy Barlow Lyde & Gilbert and local law firm Deacons.
Slaughter is not in the habit of making lateral hires in Hong Kong. Mok is only the firm’s second lateral partner hire in the city, after the recruitment of corporate partner John Moore from Morrison & Foerster in 2014, who had served as the firm’s Greater China capital markets co-head.
