Reed Smith scores with 15-strong US team from Norton Rose
Reed Smith has nabbed a 15-strong team of US lawyers from Norton Rose Fulbright, from New York, Washington DC, Houston, and Austin.
The team is a combination of partners, associates, a counsel and a manager. What they all have in common is being legacy Fulbright & Jaworski lawyers. The partners leading the exodus are global head of life sciences and healthcare Rick Robinson, Cori Goldberg of New York, Jeff Layne and Ben Koplin of Austin, and Lesley Reynolds of Washington DC.
Associates Selina Coleman of Washington DC and Sara Brinkman of Houston will be made up to partner in joining Reed Smith.
The strategy of Reed Smith in making the team hire is two-fold. First to reinvigorate its international life sciences practice with a new head in Robinson, and second to open a second Texan office in Austin, led by Layne Koplin, and relocating Reed Smith partner Craig Tanner.
