Hogan Lovells announces new global IP head
Hogan Lovells has appointed Burkhart Goebel as its new global intellectual property head, beginning 1 July.
Currently holding the position of Continental Europe managing partner, the Madrid-based partner has nearly 20 years of experience in IP jurisdiction cases. In a statement on his appointment, he referred to the firm’s IP practice as “truly first class,” and expressed excitement about the growth of the practice.
He takes over for current IP head Andreas von Falck, who has held the position for 15 years. Von Falck will remain with the firm, focusing his efforts instead on client work.
