Pillsbury makes strategic duo hire ahead of Taipei launch
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has recruited a pair of intellectual property litigators from Vinson & Elkins in San Francisco. Litigators Chris Kao and David Tsai are being brought on to help with the launch of a Taipei office.
Kao and Tsai are a valuable duo, being two of fewer than 50 foreign attorneys registered in Taiwan. Kao’s expertise is in complex IP and commercial litigation, whereas Tsai focuses on US patent law, especially with high technology.
Pillsbury’s Taipei office is scheduled to open later this year. It will place a heavy focus on serving clients in the IP, technology and life sciences sector.
