PRC firm AnJie to open in Hong Kong through local tie up
Chinese firm AnJie Law Firm has opened an office in Hong Kong by tying up with local firm Hwang Hauzen.comments powered by Disqus
AnJie is a Beijing headquartered firm with about 200 lawyers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. Its practice focuses on the antitrust, regulatory, corporate, and insurance sectors. The firm is now the 26th PRC firm to launch in the SAR.
The alliance will be overseen by Hwang Hauzen founding partner Basil Hwang, who set up the firm last year, leaving behind PRC firm Zhong Lun. Prior to that he had posts at Allen & Gledhill, O’Melveny & Myers, Clifford Chance, and as Dechert’s Hong Kong office head, which he had held until 2014.
