Ince & Co follows City redundancy trend with 32 positions cut
Ince & Co has announced a 32-strong redundancy round in its City office, cutting 25 business services staff and seven fee earners.
The shipping specialist firm will be seeking a sublet contract for 22% of 35,000sq ft office space, located in Aldgate Tower. Ince London office head Andrew Jameson admitted that the restructure is “unsettling” for those affected, but ensured that the process has been “fair and transparent” from the start.
Ince is not the only UK firm making cuts lately. In an effort to maximize efficiency, Ashurst announced two months ago that it could be cutting as much as 80% of its London secretarial staff and last month Hogan Lovells made 54 City positions redundant, relocating the majority to hubs in Johannesburg, Birmingham, and Louisville.
