Finance star Sum hired by Latham in quick turnaround
Latham & Watkins has recruited restructuring rainmaker Yen Sum from Sidley Austin just over a year after her departure from Linklaters.
Sum was first hired by Linklaters in 2002, then left for a three-year stint at Barclays before returning in 2008. She was hired by Sidley Austin in late 2016, beginning her time at the firm on maternity leave.
Sum was hired by Latham along with finance partner Jennifer Brennan, who had joined Sum in her exit from Linklaters as well. The duo hire brings Latham’s restructuring team’s headcount to six.
