Taylor Wessing raises NQ salary by £8,000
Taylor Wessing has raised its salary for newly qualified solicitors (NQ) by the greatest margin since 2008.
The firm has increased pay to NQs from £63,000 to £71,000, a 13% raise. The salary for trainees, however, remains the same with first-years receiving £40,000 and second-years receiving £44,000.
Under the leadership of managing partner Tim Eyles, who will be replaced by Shane Cleghorn later this year, the firm also posted that it will by keeping on 21 of 23 qualifying trainees this year.
