Simmons appoints experienced Tokyo head from NZ firm

August 13, 2018 Simmons & simmons has appointed its new Tokyo head from New Zealand firm Kensington Swan.

Kensington Japan head Aaron Patience returns to Simmons after departing in 2016, having held positions as a solicitor from 2017 to 2013 and managing associate from 2014 to 2016.

Patience specializes in Japanese internal investments, advising on cases of cross-border mergers, joint ventures, and acquisitions. He replaces form Simmons Tokyo head Richard Kramer, who has taken a position at Jones Day.
