A&O announced retention rates and salary increase
Allen & Overy has released its autumn 2018 retention rate, while simultaneously announcing an increase in salary for trainees and newly qualified lawyers.
Of the 46 trainees, 44 applied for qualification, and 40 were offered newly qualified positions. In all, 37 trainees accepted the offers, bringing the firm’s retention rate to 80%.
First- and second-year trainees also saw a £1,000 salary bump, making the current wages £45,000 and £50,000 respectively. Newly qualified lawyers’ salaries will now range from £81,000 to £83,000.
