DLA Piper is the latest firm to hire a former SFO lawyer
DLA Piper has hired corporate crime and regulatory investigations partner Patrick Rappo from US litigation law firm Steptoe & Johnson.
Until 2013, Rappo was at Serious Fraud Office, where he was formerly the head of bribery and corruption. He joined SFO in 2008 after spending over a decade as a barrister at 9 Bedford Row, where he specialized in criminal law.
Rappo is not the only former SFO employee to make the move to private practice lately, as Stuart Alford QC was recently hired by Latham & Watkins and former SFO head of anti-corruption Ben Morgan was recruited by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
