Slaughter and May names Nigel Boardman new Africa head

Slaughter and May has announced that Nigel Boardman will take on a new position, leading the firm’s Africa group as of next year. The announcement comes just a week after it was revealed that Boardman will exit the firm’s partnership as of April. Boardman will take over the position from Andrew Balfour, who is leaving the firm after a total of more than 35 years. He has led the Africa group since 2014. In addition to leading the Africa group, Boardman will also maintain a part-time consulting role with the firm.
