Steve Winegar exits Paul Hastings for Chinese insurance company Ping An

Steve Winegar has been hired by Chinese company Ping An Insurance Group, where he will serve as international general counsel. Winegar has been chair of Paul Hastings’ Hong Kong office since 2016, and has been with the firm since joining as a corporate partner in 2010. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs, where he eventually became managing director. At Ping An, Winegar will be tasked with boosting the company’s in-house capabilities while the company expands internationally.
