NewLaw firm Cognatio acquired by Elevate
Elevate, a US-based legal and technology services provider, has acquired Cognatio Law, a NewLaw firm. Cognatio is based in Hong Kong and provides legal services through contract lawyers. The firm was founded in early 2018 by Lesley Hobbs, who previously worked at Lawyers on Demand. While at Lawyers on Demand, Hobbs worked with Tim Fawcett to oversee the company’s client solutions capabilities in Hong Kong. Elevate has also made a number of other recent acquisitions, including LexPredict, Sumati Group, Yerra Solutions, and Halebury.
