KPMG boosts France presence

KPMG continues to boost its legal offerings with the hire of 145 lawyers in its newly launched office in France. The new hires have joined the firm from French firm Fidal, and will be a part of KPMG Avodats, the accounting firm's legal arm in France. KPMG has collaborated with Fidal since the early 2000s in a series of arrangements that continued until 2018. The company has also introduced a new consultancy service, Legal Operations and Transformation Services, which focuses on in-house counsel. According to legal head Jürg Birri, the new offering will help enhance the company's legal offerings.
