Mayer Brown and Heller Ehrman in merger talks

Fresh off its aborted tie-up with Baker & McKenzie, San Francisco-based Heller is now in merger talks with Mayer Brown according to the American Lawyer blog. In the last year, Heller Ehrman and Mayer Brown have seen many of their partners defect to competitors. Heller Ehrman 650 attorneys practicing at 14 offices. Mayer Brown has 21 offices with 1,800 attorneys.
