Bear Stearns lawyers jump to law firms

Several lawyers at Bear Stearns have landed at major law firms after the takeover of the investment bank by JPMorgan Chase. David Strumeyer, former head of the legal and compliance department, shifted to Weil Gotshal; Julie Richard landed at Venable; Kenneth Kopelman and Gerald Russello went to Bingham McCutchen, and Gary Distell, who lead equity group attorney at Bear Stearns, to Katten Muchin Rosenman.
