Sanofi-Aventis Faces Purported Class Action
Sanofi-Aventis SA (SNY) faces a purported class-action lawsuit for allegedly making misleading statements regarding its Zimulti obesity drug, according to San Diego-based law firm Coughlin, Stoia, Geller, Rudman & Robbins LLP. The suit claims the French drug company concealed data concerning Zimulti's propensity for causing depression. In June, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration decided that Zimulti couldn't be recommended for approval. A Sanofi-Aventis representative declined to comment.
