Orrick lays off 40 attorneys, 35 staff

Only two days after White & Case said that it will lay off 70 attorneys, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, a firm that traces its roots to San Francisco, announced that it will lay off approximately 40 lawyers, both associates and counsel, in the firm’s real estate, structured finance and corporate practices.
