Clifford Chance ends merger talks with Mallesons

Clifford Chance and leading Australian firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques have called off merger talks after after months of discussions due to economic conditions. The planned merger would have made Clifford Chance the largest law firm in Australasia, with more than a thousand lawyers in the region.
