Latham & Watkins freezes associate salaries for 2009

Latham & Watkins is the first major law firm to freeze associate pay levels for 2009. While a number of US firms have announced that they are to reduce bonuses, Latham is the first to announce it is to hold salary rates at 2008 levels.
