Macfarlanes to lay off up to 14

Macfarlanes has kicked off a redundancy consultation which could see 14 members of staff laid off from the firm. Seven fee earners in the firm's property team could be affected. Closest City rival Travers Smith already layed off 4 associates in early December. Both firm's business model relies on M&A, private equity and property deals.
