Hogan & Hartson asks 240 staffers to leave voluntarily

Washington-based law firm Hogan & Hartson offered buyouts to about 240 of its legal secretaries and word processors. While layoffs are currently common at law firms, Hogan & Hartson is among the first firms to encourage staff to leave voluntarily.
