US associate laid off twice in less than four months

After graduation from Berkeley’s Boalt Hall, Inna Efimchik was a corporate associate at Heller Ehrman. She had to leave the firm, when it collapsed in 2008. She and a big group of partners, associates and staff from Heller were hired by Cooley Godward Kronish in October 2008, but less than three months later she was laid off again by Cooley together with 52 other lawyers.
