Drinker Biddle acquires Chicago law firm

November 28, 2007 Drinker Biddle & Reath said Monday it had agreed to make its second significant acquisition in Chicago in the past year. It will buy 13-lawyer employment litigation boutique Connelly Sheehan Harris Feb. 1. Philadelphia-based Drinker Biddle acquired Gardner Carton & Douglas in January. With the Connelly Sheehan deal, Drinker now has almost 75 lawyers across the country focusing on matters such as wage-and-hour class actions, unfair competition, labor law, ERISA cases and discrimination litigation as well as employee benefits and executive compensation.
