Govt of Pakistan will reinstate ousted justices

The Government of Pakistan indicated early Monday that all 60 judges fired in November 2007 by then-President Pervez Musharraf would be restored to office. The move, announced by Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, sought to appease lawyers' groups who planned a demonstration expressing discontent with the current government.
