Madoff to appeal bail determination to 2d Circuit

Disgraced financier Bernard Madoff's lawyers filed a request on Friday in the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to stay US District Judge Denny Chin's order that Madoff be held without bail pending sentencing on numerous criminal charges. They are expected to face a difficult legal standard governing release following a conviction.
