Webcast of music download hearing will be banned

The United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit has overturned a decision by a district judge to broadcast on the internet hearings relating to illegal downloading of music in an action brought by the Recording Industry Association of America. The panel determined that webcasting would be covered by local court rules as well as politicies prohibiting cameras in the courtroom.
