US Supreme Court upholds regulatory ban on "curse words" over airwaves

The United States Supreme Court held today that a ban by regulatory authority the Federal Communications Commission on "fleeting expletives," or isolated utterances of obscenities, is permitted within the agency's regulatory authority. The Court did not, however, decide whether the ban violates the United States Constitution's guarantees on free speech.
