Will Clifford Chance lose global top spot to Skadden?

Clifford Chance may lose its spot as the world’s largest law firm by revenue to U.S. competitors because of the effect of the global financial crisis on the firm’s clients, reports Bloomberg. Clifford Chance’s fee income in the last fiscal year declined about 5 percent to about $2.04 billion. This would rank the London-based firm behind U.S. firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Baker & McKenzie LLP.
