Shearman & Sterling promotes lucky 13 to partner

Shearman & Sterling has promoted 13 to the partnership across its global network. The New York headquarters has received the most promotions at three, while in London the firm made up capital markets counsel Michael Benjamin and project development and finance lawyer Benjamin Shorten to the partnership. Last year the firm promoted two in London. European promotions dropped by two from five in 2006 to three this year with two in Germany and one in Rome.
