Troutman Sanders cuts associate salary by 10 per cent

Troutman Sanders LLP announced yesterday that the firm will cut associate pay by 10 per cent in total, effective Aug. 1. Pay cuts at the 700-lawyer firm will vary for each associate according to Troutman's chairman Robert W. Webb Jr. Troutman Sanders is paying starting salaries of $145,000 in Atlanta, Richmond, and Raleigh, and $160,000 in Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, San Diego and Orange County, according to the Fulton County Daily Report.
