Debevoise expands finance practice with Goodwin Procter hires
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced the expansion of its financial institutions group with the addition of two lawyers, Gregory J. Lyons and Satish M. Kini, as partners of the firm. The new partners will focus financial institutions, as well as private equity and other funds that invest in financial institutions, with a particular emphasis on domestic and cross-border bank regulatory, transactional and examination matters. Lyons will serve as co-chair for the Americas of the firm’s financial institutions group and will be resident in the New York office. He joins Debevoise from the Boston office of Goodwin Procter LLP where he was a partner and co-chair of its financial services group and chair of its banking practice. Kini will serve as co-chair of Debevoise’s banking practice and will be resident in the Washington, D.C. office. He joins Debevoise from the Washington, D.C. office of Goodwin Procter LLP where he was a partner and member of that firm’s financial services practice.
