French bank Calyon seeks $1.68 bn damages from German IKB AG

August 26, 2009 French investment bank Calyon is is seeking more than $1.68 billion in damages from Germany's KB Deutsche Industriebank AG in the High Court of Justice in London, in what would be the UK’s largest credit-crunch related lawsuit to date.

The claim is related to proceedings brought by U.S. bond insurer FGIC, the bank said, without providing details.
