Davis Polk, Skadden advise on Exxon-XTO mega-deal

Exxon Mobil will acquire natural gas company XTO Energy for $31 billion and $10 billion in debt, the biggest energy deal since 2006. Davis Polk & Wardwell and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom won lead roles in the deal. Davis Polk is acting as lead M&A counsel to Exxon Mobil. A Skadden team led by partners Roger Aaron and Stephen Arcano is advising XTO.
