Edward Nathan top South African M&A law firm by deal value

Despite a 61% drop in merger and acquisition (M&A) activity last year in South Africa, corporate law firm Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs ranked first in value in the legal adviser league table, according to Mergermarket. The firm, which has offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, and Stellenbosch, advised on 18 transactions with a total value of US2.7 billion.
