Switzerland to Vote on Legal Representation for Animals

A referendum to be held in Switzerland on Sunday will decide whether to appoint attorneys to represent abused animals in Court. The Swiss Animal Protection league, which gathered the 100,000 signatures required for the referendum to be held, hopes that the move will encourage people to take infringements upon animal rights more seriously.
