Greenberg partner charged with overbilling client by $1m

Mark McCombs, a now former Greenberg Traurig partner, is charged with theft for allegedly overbilling the Village of Calumet Park more than $1 million since 2003. Prosecutors alleged the attorney abused long-standing professional and personal relationships with village officials to overbill the village for work that was never performed, to gain prestige within the global law firm.
