Norton Rose and Slaughter and May lead on BA-Iberia deal
Norton Rose and Slaughter and May have landed key roles in the £4.4bn merger between British Airways and Iberia. Iberia chose Norton Rose for advice on the UK aspects of the deal, with corporate partner Nick Adams leading the Norton Rose team. Slaughter and May advised British airways with a team led by corporate partners Steve Cooke and David Whittman. The team also included competition partner Betrand Louveaux. For the Spanish aspects of the deal, British Airways was advised by Uria Menendez, with a team led by corporate partner Juan Francisco Falcon. Iberia was advised by Garrigues, with a team led by co-managing partner Fernando Vives.
