McGuireWoods hires two Squires partners in London

McGuireWoods has given a boost to its London office with the hire of two former Squire Sanders & Dempsey partners: former managing partner Andrew Visintin and corporate partner Philip Newhouse. Visintin specialises in multi-jurisdictional bankruptcy and restructuring transactions, working with distressed funds in UK and foreign asset-based lenders. Newhouse specialises on international, cross-border and domestic matters, working with a number of clients in the UK, the Middle East and Central and Eastern Europe. McGuire Woods managing partner Anders Grundberg said the moves represented a “further significant step” in the fulfillment of McGuireWoods’ London office strategy of strengthening its international client offering on the insolvency, bankruptcy and reconstruction side as well as in M&A, joint ventures, reorganisations and investment funds.
