Slaughter and May Names Saul New Senior Partner

The most profitable and traditional of top English firms underwent a changing of the guard last week, when Slaughter and May announced that corporate partner Christopher Saul will become the firm's new senior partner. Elected to a five-year term starting on May 1, Saul will take over for Tim Clark, another corporate dealmaker, who will retire after 34 years at the firm, including the last seven as senior partner. Saul's accession means that Slaughter is likely to continue its close ties with its European "best friends" and some of New York's most elite firms.
