London QC leaves 4 New Square because of 'difference of opinion'

Hailsham Chambers has hired Bernard Livesey QC after the London silk quit 4 New Square, citing a difference of opinion with the Chambers where he has worked for the past 18 years. Livesey said: “Unfortunately there came a time when I didn’t see eye to eye with 4NS on a matter of principle and decided it would be best to continue my practice from another set of high standing.” Hailsham head of chambers Martin Spencer QC said: “I was delighted to invite such an eminent, highly regarded practitioner to become a tenant".
