Allens boosts Singapore office
Allens Arthur Robinson has boosted its Singapore office with the hire of Clifford Chance partner Rod Howell. Howell returns to Allens, where he began his career, after five years as an asset finance specialist at Clifford Chance. The Singapore office will also see incoming talent from energy and resources partner Darren Murphy, who has relocated from the firm's Perth office, Marae Ciantar who heads the firm's Cambodia practice, and insurance partner Matthew Skinner from Sydney. Singapore Managing Partner Robert Clarke said “We haven't exactly been shouting about it, but in countries such as Vietnam the firm continues to be the key legal adviser on some of that nation's largest projects. It's important to us that we continue to build a strong presence in Singapore given its role as a growing financial, insurance and arbitration hub for South-East Asia”.
