Kirlkland and Brown Winick lead $1 billion chemicals deal

Two firms have been picked to lead the $1 billion acquisition of privately-held herbicide supplier Albaugh Inc by Tel Aviv-based Makhteshim Agan Industries, the world's leading generic crop chemical maker. Makhteshim was advised by Kirkland & Ellis partners David Fox and Kimberly Taylor. Albaugh was advised by partner Michael Blaser from Des Moines-based Brown, Winick, Graves, Gross, Baskerville and Schoenebaum, with relied on vice president Stuart Feldstein for counsel.
