Virgin Money appoints General Counsel
Virgin Money has appointed RBS’s litigation chief Stephen Pearson to a newly created position of general counsel.Pearson is set to take up his new role in August, will report to chief executive Jayne-Anne Gadhia. Pearson said: “Jayne-Anne approached me and I had lots of reasons for just carrying on doing what I’m doing but I’m a great believer in that if a challenge comes around you should grab it.” Virgin Money has recently acquired a banking licence, which allows it to move beyond credit cards and internet-based services and into the mainstream banking arena.
