Cravath senior partner to become chief legal officer at Morgan Stanley

Cravath Swaine & Moore will say goodbye to senior partner Francis Barron who, after 32 years with the firm, is set to take the helm of the legal department at Morgan Stanley as the bank’s new chief legal officer. The bank’s CEO James Gorman said: “Frank Barron has been a well-respected adviser to boards and senior managements on critical issues, particularly in financial services, for over 30 years”. He continued: “We look forward to benefiting from Frank’s advice and wisdom, and we are very pleased he is joining our senior management team.”
