Sacramento firm McDonough Holland & Allen closes down
McDonough Holland & Allen is set to fold after 56 years in the business, following a June decision to call it a day. The firm had suffered declining revenues and a haemorrhage in talent, with DLA Piper recruiting a 10-lawyer health care litigation team in February, and another 20 lawyers leaving the firm in subsequent months.
Some practice groups remain profitable, including real estate litigation, construction law and public law, and these groups are currently on the market.
