Less jail time for DLA Piper's former Singapore partner
DLA Piper’s former Singapore partner, Rudy Lim, has won an appeal against his sentence after being found guilty of forgery in pay negotiations. Under the ruling the appeals judge cut Lim’s jail term from two months to one day. Lim was also fined $7,340. Lim was found guilty of lying about his monthly pay in negotiations with Duane Morris, boosting his monthly pay to S$65,000 from S$25,000. He was offered $40,417 per month to work with Duane Morris to start its Singapore office. Lim has been disbarred in the UK.
